Last Friday, we had our monthly Dine-out...it was a wonderful time to just
hang out and ofcourse eat with everyone...and that evening also the Longoria
twins brought us some delicious Mexican dessert "Sopapia"

MISSION NIGHT

This past Friday we had mission night were we spent time learning about life in long and short term missions. We view a documentary short film of our friends from SEND MINISTRIES, they take different teams for 4-5mos at a time in different countries and right now they have teams in ISRAEL, MORROCO, and Spain. Also, Michelle Bonner share her life and experiences in Peru with her family where her father is the director of CCBC PERU.

Mission Trip Bake Sale

We had our 1st Bake Sale for our upcoming mission trip to CCIWAKUNI, JAPAN.
Praise the LORD for everyone who donated bake goods for the bake sale and to all the highschool students who came out and serve during the bake sale.

Scavenger Hunt!

Last Friday we had a Scavenger Hunt down in Mihama, Mihama is a place where Americans and Japanese alike gather for fun. We recently gathered there and had a great time. Their were several things that the kids had to complete to be the victors. Among those things were making a foil suit that they had to keep on throughout the event. It all ended with a chubby bunny contest to see who could stuff the most large marshmallows into their mouths to claim the victory for their team. Laura's team won that event but Yasutomo's team won the over all scavenger hunt. Laura showed that girls can compete and hold their own with the guys in the chubby bunny when her teammates stuffed a whopping 11 marshmallows into her mouth, but she failed to beat last year's record that was set by Vince our birthday boy when he fit an amazing, seemingly impossible 18 marshmallows into his disposer. Overall we had a great time in Jesus, keep all these kids in your prayers, the Lord is doing a wonderful work in their lives.

DINE OUT NITE

It was a wonderful evening to fellowship with everyone for some Japanese food.
We ended our evening for some Devotion at SunSet Beach at Mihama, Damian shared from Matt 25 "Parable of the ten BRIDESMAIDS" and he encouraged us and exhorted us to BE READY AND BE LOOKING FOR THE COMING OF JESUS!

BACK TO SCHOOL NITE "FORMAL DINNER"

It was a nite of fun and fellowship to bring in the new school year...TC-1 leaders planned a nite full of surprises, the youth didn't know where and what they are doing for the nite. Everyone put on their best and everyone looked handsome and beautiful for the nite, we started at CCOKINAWA then off to our first stop "MCDONALDS" for dinner and Derek Forbes shared devotion for the nite then to STARBUCKS and ofcourse we couldn't end the nite without going to take some ssticky pictures at Mihama. Plese continue to pray for all the youth as school starts for them with all the challenges they will face in their school and also for all of them to continue to grow in grace and knowledge of JESUS CHRIST.

ACTS 2 PROGRESSIVE DINNER

TC-1 got to imitate the Acts 2 church where they went house to house and learn the apostle's doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayers in different homes. We spend the night going to 4 different house and got to worship and spent time in devotion with the host families. We want to thanks the Walton family, Barnett family, Petersen family and Michael Marks for opening up their home to youth. It was a blessing to go and experience a little bit how the Acts 2 church fellowship.

We celebrated FIONA AND RYO's birthday couple of weeks ago and these pictures were taken at MacaroniGrill, we spend our evening fellowshipping and breaking of bread together then we went to the Velarde's house for time of worship and Niel O. shared devotion before we ended our evening.

Greetings from TotallyCommitted Ministries, It has been a few weeks since we last updated, sorry. We have been incredibly busy loving Jesus and making His love known. Over the last four weeks we have had some bitter sweet memories as we have seen several people leave us to move on to the states for college and a new season of life. Pictured at the top is Jessica Rhode who has faithfully led worship for us over the last two years, she has been a huge blessing and I have been greatly encouraged witnessing her love for the Savior. Also pictures with her is Brandon Valade who has also served on the worship team and is an incredibly gifted young musician who is full of the holy Spirit and love for God. Brandon has departed us to finish his senior year in Florida. Next to Brandon is Jasher Calcaben, who will be leaving here in just a few weeks to go to college in the Philippines. Jasher like Brandon and Jessica has also served on the worship team for TC-1 and other ministries. He is a gifted vocalist who God has huge plans for. We are sad to see them go but also so excited to see what God is going to s with them. D.L. Moody tells that the world has yet to see what God can do through a man or woman who is fully submitted to Him.

As stated before we have been busy serving Jesus here in Okinawa, the pictures above are selections taken from different events that have taken place. We have had Bible studies, we made the world's largest sundae and even had a beach bash. Their are photos from the day that everybody took Jessica to the airport to give her "John Wayne" style going away, thanks for that TR. It as been exciting to see the Spirit moving in our lives here as we keep the main thing the main thing and the main thing is Jesus Christ. The Bible tells that is we live up the name of Jesus that He will draw all men unto Himself and that is what we have been experiencing. The Spirit of God drawing all of us closer to his side. Continue to pray for the youth in Okinawa as God continues to do wonderful things here, be encouraged and leave an encouraging comment for the students here.

Hey everybody, I know like it seems that TC-1 fell off the edge of the world, but didn't and we are back. We have posted some random pictures of events that have taken place over the last month. Included are pictures from Segmon's going away, Ie Jima Mission Trip, Dine out and just kickin it. The Lord has been so gracious to us here in Okinawa. The Lord is doing a wonderful work in our lives as leaders and in the kids lives. Several of them graduated and will be leaving us soon to go to college. We pray that God keeps them and that they continue to serve Him with all of their hearts. This summer we have several things lined up to include Beach Days, Worship Night and other real fun activities. Pray for the Youth in Okinawa, we just had an island wide Youth Jam for the Okinawa Franklin Graham Festival that is coming up, it was a great time their was about 200 kids that gathered for a time of worship, Word and fellowship, thank you for your prayers. Street Witnessin' at Mihama

God is so Good! Last Friday we went out to Mihama and shared the Love of Christ on the streets. First we started out with food, worship and prayer then we seperated into groups and witnessed to the Okinawans and the military people that were there. If you look at the top left picture; as we were walkin' around we notice that these people were also Christians as they sang worship songs on the streets. Please continue to pray for christians in Okinawa that we shall not hide our faith but share it and let Jesus be a Shining Light in our lives so others will see! God Bless!

Boys and Girls Lockin'

Well...we had a wonderful time at the lock in'. The girls went to sandra's pad(house) while the boys stayed at the church. Both groups had a great time in the Word and also a fun time fellowshipping. The girls did some chick stuff while the boys played basketball until 3:30 am and played Halo until 7am. We were all blessed by the devotions and a time of hangin' around. Most of the youth went to the whole night without sleeping. But on the ride home they all crashed. The picture on the bottom shows four of the youth on the road back home. Movie Night at TC-1

Tonight we had a great time! First were blessed with food and then we played a dressing relay game...that explains why everyone looks krazy...!!!...Afterwards we had an awsome time during movie night. We watched a movie series called Nooma. We had a time of discussion about how God allows trials in our lives to strenghten us and through the rain we should remember that God Loves us and that He will guide us!!! TC-1 Friday Nights

OCSI Junior/Senior Banquet

We had a really great time of fellowship with many of the high school students that attend TC-1. Summer is here in Okinawa

Kicking off our Friday nights at Sunset Beach, we gathered for a time of Worship, Word and fellowship. Our time on the beach this past Friday was unbelievable as we worshiped. Luke Schneider delivered the message for us about finishing the race with endurance, laying aside all weights and hindrances that so easily ensnare us. Praise the LORD!! because He is doing wonderful things in the lives of our the high school students as they step out in faith. Many of the students had wonderful oppertunities to boldly share the Gospel with local Okinawans who gathered to watch us worship the LORD. It truly was an amazing time that the LORD blessed us with. Continue to pray for the youth of Okinawa as the LORD is doing a great and mighty work in their lives.
